Taskbar--Use the taskbar to open and switch between applications. It contains the Start Button, the Tray, and the task buttons located at the bottom of the Windows screen.
Taskbar buttons—Use these buttons to switch between open applications.
Tray—the tray is the box on the far right end of the Taskbar, which shows the time and the status of some system components.
Click—to click, hold the mouse steady, press the left mouse button, and then release the button quickly.
Start Button—Use the Start button on the Taskbar to show the Start menu and open applications.
Office Assistant—The Office Assistant gives you tips as you work, and it can be used to get help about Word processes.
Office Assistant Dialog Box—the Office Assistant dialog box shows a pop-up menu when you first start Word or when you open the Office assistant. It contains options that you might want to use to complete the current action.
Look In Down-arrow—Use the Look in down-arrow to select where you want to look for a file.
Select—In order to work with an object, you must first “select” or “activate” it. One way to select an object is by clicking on it with the mouse. Example: double click on a word to select or highlight it.
Look in List Box—the Look in list box in the Open dialog box lists the current folder and can be used to show other disks or folders on the system.
File List—the file list appears under the Look in the list box in the Open dialog box, and shows the documents or folders in the current folder.
Folder—a folder is an area on the disk that contains files and subfolders that are usually related by type, purpose, or application.
Click-and-drag—Click-and-drag is the action of clicking and holding the left mouse button, then moving the mouse pointer to another location before releasing the button.
