Grade 7, and 8 Technology Homework Page
For the Weeks of September 12-23, 2011
All Technology students must practice their keyboarding assignments each day at home for at least 15 minutes. Parents please continue to sign off that your son/daughter has done their nightly assignment for 15 minutes each night. Sign on their Student Agenda next to the assignment each night. (Extra Credit will be for weekends only.)
Grade 6 must only work on Glencoe Lessons 1 and 2.
New Keys for the next two weeks are located in the third row. The keyboard is generally called the QWERTY Keyboard. The third row begins with these letters—hence the name QWERTY.

Remember to type using good techniques. This week in class you will receive a keyboarding technique grade. View keyboarding techniques from week 1.
Second Week September 12-16
Select Lesson 2—Exercise 1
Practice your reaches before beginning Exercise 1, for example:

Practice this drill several times before you begin the exercise. This week complete Exercises 1-5; you must type each exercise three times. Try for 15-20 w.p.m. and 90% accuracy.
Third Week September 19-23
Repeat Exercise 1-5. Type exercises 6-10 at least three times. Try for 15-20 w.p.m. and 90% accuracy.
Grades 7 and 8: If you use Glencoe website, practice Lessons 1-5 three times each.
