Math
The family homelinks letter will be sent home prior to each unit to inform you of the concepts that will be taught. These family letters can be quite helpful and I encourage you to save them.  Make sure your child practices basic addition and subraction facts nightly.  Your child will have math homework every night.

Printing Reminders -
   Please stress neatness in all written homework.
There should be a two finger space between all words.
Lower case letters should only be one space tall.
All letters should touch the bottom line.
If your child has reversed letters, have them refer to the alphabet print sheet enclosed in the Open House packet and correct the error.

Please Note:  Some suggestions
on how to practice nightly:     
                 
        -read the words
       -copy and print the words
       -make flash cards
       -spell or write the
          words as dictated   
           by someone
       -find the words in
           print in a book,
          magazine, or
           newspaper                                  
        -form the words with
          clay
       -with your finger,
          write the words in
          shaving cream or salt
