We have all been hard at work in math as we learn about using tally marks and counting and recognizing numbers up to twenty. We've enjoyed exploring with our math manipulatives and tools boxes as well.
We are also working on number stories and number sentences in addition and subtraction.
There's lots of poetry and phonics to learn in grade 1, but we manage to sing through the days of the week, the months of the year, and the seasons.
In addition to our physical science study,
we have also been learning about signs of spring as well as continued anti-bullying strategies.
In addition to our daily journal writing, we have also been writing responses to literature and other ideas that tie into the curriculum.
