Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday.   Please check and sign your child's assignment notebook or homework sheet.   Also, please check to make sure the assignment is completed accurately and that work is neat.   Thank you for your continued support at home.

SPELLING INFORMATION:

Each week we will introduce five new word wall words that eventually the children will be responsible for spelling accurately.

On reading assignments, students will use the strategy of looking back for the answer, underlining where they found the answer, and putting the question number next to that place.

REMINDER:  READ-A-THON - DON'T FORGET TO GET YOUR SHEETS COMPLETED AND BRING THEM TO SCHOOL STARTING MONDAY, JANUARY 30.

Score     Description
4            The response is clear, complete, and accurate.   The response restates the prompt and includes 3 examples that support the statement above from the story.      

3            The response is mostly clear, complete, and accurate.   The response restates the prompt and includes 3 relevant but often-general examples directly from the                    story.

2            The response is limited.   The response has limited details (less than 3) from the story.

1            The response includes little or no examples from the story.   The response may include information that does not specifically answer the writing prompt.

0            The response is totally incorrect or irrelevant.
