Spelling words for the week of May 21st-25th

Spelling words #1-15- This week the students will be learning the 1-1-1 rule for spelling. If a word has one syllable, one vowel, and one final consonant, we must double the final consonant before adding ing.
Spelling words #16-20- These words are from our phonics program called Month by Month phonics and from the Dolch List of sight words that the children are expected to learn to read and spell correctly. Once the children have been tested on these words, we will add them to our word wall in the classroom.
Spelling words #21-22- These are bonus words that I choose from concepts we are learning in math, science, and social studies. I also choose some from our vocabulary words from Literacy Place (our reading program).
