Welcome to Grade Two
Reading, listening and thinking things through
That's what we do all day in Grade Two.
Poetry,narratives,friendly letters and retelling,
Dictionary skills, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
Knowing our math facts- to subtract and add,
Practice them at home - with mom or with dad!
We learn about patterns, we'll learn to tell time,
We'll learn the value of the dollar, the quarter, penny,nickel,and dime.
The calendar, the seasons, the months of the year,
If it's skip counting or odd/even numbers, we'll make it all clear.
We talk about weather, we observe insects and mealworms.
We study liquids and solids, maps and landforms.
Creatively thinking,problem solving and working together
are skills we instill to last forever!
