Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. Students are given homework each day, and it is to be turned in on the next day with the homework book signed by a parent. Homework consists of a variety of worksheets, all reinforcing skills previously learned in school. There is also a Home Link, which is assigned as well. The Home Link follows the math lesson done in the school that day. Home links are very short assignments.
Many children play various sports and have many games and practice times throughout the week. Also, there are many students that have various religious and group obligations. Please allow your child to allot time for homework during their very busy schedules.

Month-By-Month Phonics
The students are responsible for learning how to spell the monthly words. The words are kept in the Phonics Notebook at school. Promoting incidental learning and word consciousness through frequent and deliberate modeling of sophisticated vocabulary can add substantial breadth to students' vocabularies.
