TBL Overview:
In TBL students will learn, review, participate, and create the concepts and skills needed to succeed within the regular education classroom as well as in their individual lives. We will be working across the curriculum and concentrating on each student’s individual goals, set forth by their IEP. We will also be working outside of the classroom on life skills, which will enable each student to become a more skilled and knowledgeable member of society.
TBL Expectations:
- Students will come to class ready to learn.
- Students will keep an open mind to learning new skills and strategies.
- Students will respect one another.
- Students will respect their teachers.
21st Century Academic Expectations:
As part of the Hull High School Academic Expectations, students will be assessed on the following expectation:
- A Hull High School student will be a competent problem solver.
TBL Evaluation Criteria:
TBL consists of both a life skills portion and academic support portion. The grading scale will be based on each student’s effort and willingness to learn. Each student’s IEP will be taken into consideration throughout each class lesson.
TBL Goal:
Our Goal is to help each student become knowledgeable, confident, and independent in and outside of the classroom. By working together: student, teacher, and parents/guardians, we can achieve this goal.
