Hull High School Student Accepted to Harvard
For the fourth time in the last eight years, Hull High School has had a student accepted to Harvard University. Hull's Lauren Tierney is the latest student to be accepted into this prestigious institution. "Admissions tracks the trends and progress of students from different school systems," Explains Hull High School Advanced Placement English Teacher Jeff Fuller, "They have recognized that our students are graduating, and they are graduating well."
Harvard's website discusses the qualities that are important in gaining acceptance to the University. These words provide a glowing description of our school system and Tierney, a two-sport athlete and drama program participant: "Successful applicants present strong academic credentials, evidence of highly developed talents or interests, motivation and character. We hope that every student who is committed to excellence in its many forms will explore the opportunities at Harvard."
