SCHOOL PROFILE OCTOBER 1, 2009

Community:  Hull is located on a narrow peninsula, twenty land miles and seven sea miles south of Boston.  Hull began as a fishing and trading post, later becoming a resort for the rich and famous in the early 1900's.  Visitors to the renowned Hull Lifesaving Museum discover the rich historic past of this small town.  Although the legendary Paragon Amusement Park closed in 1984, Hull's popular beaches still attracts tens of thousands of visitors each summer.  Hull ha a year round population of approximately 11,000 which swells in the summer to 50,000.  Its primary source of revenue is property tax, and the median household income is $65,932.
