Essential Life-Long Learning Skills developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will engage in:
Physical Health Skills (Fitness, Nutrition, Avoidance of Destructive Behaviors)
Mental Health Skills (Time Management, Stress Management, Personality, Self-Esteem)
Emotional Health Skills (Cooperation, Discussion, Teamwork)

Integrity
A culture that expects integrity and honorable behavior.
Integrity developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will:
        Respect each other in the locker room.
        Respect their physical health in and out of school.
        Respect each others’ beliefs as expressed in health.

Responsibility
A culture where students take responsibility for their academic progress, behavior, and wellness.
Responsibilities of Students developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will:
        Track personal fitness progress.
        Be prepared to be physically active.
        Exhibit knowledge and skills in making health choices.

Creativity
A culture that provides a rigorous curriculum promoting creativity in all classrooms.
Creativity developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will:
        Engage in open-skill games that require creative thought.
        Create presentations and projects to express personal knowledge and     
        opinions.
        Organize learned skills to best suit their personal needs.
        

Citizenship
A culture that encourages collaboration, respects diversity, and empowers students with the rights, privileges, and duties of citizenship.
Citizenship developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will:
        Work with teammates and classmates toward shared goals.
        Respect and utilize differing skills to best reach team/group goals.
        Be expected to apply learned knowledge in making decisions now and in   the future.

Service
A culture that promotes service to others.
Service skills developed in Wellness Department courses:
Students will:
Respect the Wellness Department shared space and equipment and will leave the space/equipment cleaner/better than when they arrived.
Research and share information to improve the understanding of a topic/skill for the class as a whole.
`       Serve as leaders, providers, and mentors to their classmates.
