1. Work alone or with 1 other person
*Anyone who has more than two to a group will not receive credit.

2. Create a book one of the following ways-
       a. binder that is converted into a book
        b. construction paper that is hole punched and neatly
        tied together
        c. Poster board that is folded and includes sheets inside
        d. Clear binder sheets that are neatly tied together
        e. white paper with colorful depictions that are hole punched
        or stapled

3. Must design a cover page that includes the books title, author’s name, your name(s), due date, and illustration that connects to your book.

4. Each chapter must appear on a separate sheet.  You must include the chapter title and number, at least one illustration that connects to your book, the quote you chose, and your original theme.

Example:

Theme- In order to survive, one must understand the obstacles he or she faces and how to deal with them.

Quote- “Though his dignity was sorely hurt by thus being made a draught animal, he was too wise to rebel” (London 9).

5. Make sure that you use third person voice for your themes and make sure that your quotes are properly cited.  A short quote, such as the one above, will include quotation marks, the author’s last name, page number, and the period goes on the outside of the parenthesis.

6. Make sure that your theme book is polished and neatly put together. Also make sure that the pictures you select connect to the chapter title, theme, and quote.
