Welcome to another wonderful year of mathematics.
Calculators:
AP and Honors classes (Blocks B, C, and D): You must have your own calculator TI-83/84, whichever you want. The 84 and the plus versions have more memory and applications, but any of these will do.
Other classes: I will provide calculators, when needed.
Homework:
Practice is necessary to be successful in math. Homework is given every night, with rare exceptions. Please stay on top of the material. If you're having problems, you must ask during class or see me after school. Don't let it go, it will become more difficult for you and the problems will compound.
Formulas:
Memorize them.
Notes:
You must write down everything I put on the board. This is good practice for you and it will help you with your homework. Very often I will do a problem a little differently then the way it is done in the text. If you do what I ask you to do, you will be successful.
