Parents as Teachers
Parents As Teachers has come to Hull! Parents as Teachers (PAT) is standardized curriculum for parent education of children birth to age 5 years. PAT offers home visits averaging 45-60 minutes 1/month and encourages attendance at other family network activities such parent/child groups & parent education workshops. Research completed on program participants in several states suggests that children who have particpated in PAT score better on standardize testing, school readiness and other indicators wellness. PAT parents are more likely to be involved in their child's schooling, read more often to their children and are more confident in their parenting role.
