We are pleased to welcome back Jerry Bryant for our second annual Summer Sea Chantey Concert. Jerry Bryant is a national authority on music of the sea who will play the guitar, banjo, concertina, and other acoustic instruments. His repertoire includes hundreds of traditional and contemporary folk songs, with particular interest in the music of sailors. Jerry enjoys giving audiences a glimpse of our maritime heritage through the songs he presents.
There will be a special children’s afternoon concert at 2PM. Open to all children. Admission to the children’s concert is free.
The General Audience Summer Sea Chantey Concert will be at 7PM on the Museum Lawn. Bring a blanket and a picnic supper and enjoy a musical family evening to be remembered. A $5 donation is suggested.
Mr. Bryant has performed at the Mystic Seaport Music Festival, the San Francisco National Maritime Historic Park Sea Music Concert Series and on board the tall ships HMS Rose and HMS Bounty, among others.
All galleries, exhibits, and the museum store will be open for the evening. For more information please contact Victoria Stevens at 781-925-5433.
