NANTASKET BEACH DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY
HULL, MASSACHUSETTS
The Town seeks development proposals for projects that meet the specific criteria included in the Request for Proposals.
- 2 contiguous parcels are available totaling 1.97 acres for long term lease. Town Assessor’s value of land and buildings is $2,134,700.
- Developers may submit bids utilizing any single parcel or the entire area.
- The parcels are located between the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Nantasket Beach and the Town’s Nantasket Pier (also called Steamboat Wharf) in the Weir River estuary, which connects to Boston Harbor.
- There is MBTA ferry service to Boston at Pemberton Point in Hull and Commuter Train service from Nantasket Junction just 2 miles from the property. In addition the property abuts a four lane arterial George Washington Boulevard with MBTA Bus service Route # 714. The Town supports multi-model transportation and seeks ferry service to Boston from Nantasket Pier and has installed bike racks throughout Town.
- Mixed-use economic development projects that protect the environment and the Town’s historic character are encouraged. Acceptable uses may include residential, commercial, educational, recreational and amusement or any combinations of the above.
- RFP’s will be available on 9/28/11 at 10:00 AM and thereafter from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Mondays through Thursdays at the offices listed below. The RFP and a CD of Reference Documents and a CD of DEP information can be picked up at these Offices or mailed upon request. Proposal submission deadline: 11:00 AM, 1/5/12 at the Office of Town Manager at the address below
